Professional Details

Jennifer Montjoy, MSN, Ph.D.

Jen Montjoy (she/her) is a psychedelic psychotherapy consultant, scientist, and integrative psychiatric provider. Her primary professional passions have been providing ethical, safe psychedelic services, optimizing client well-being, and training clinicians to incorporate these principles into their KAP clinical practices. Jen is honored to have facilitated 4-day KAP intensives for more than 300 licensed clinicians from 31 states across the U.S.

Since completing the Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in 2016, Jen has had the privilege of facilitating approximately 1000 ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) sessions. Her doctoral research focus at the University of Arizona was investigating ketamine’s psychedelic psychotherapeutic efficacy for the treatment of chronic traumatic stress through biobehavioral neuroscience and self-transcendence worldviews. Spiritual practice and ceremony have also imbued Jen’s personal and clinical practices.

Ceremony and ritual, honoring each individual’s cultural beliefs, have augmented her clients’ sense of well-being during their experiences and throughout their post-KAP integration process. In September 2021, she completed Web of Life’s one-year Animist ministry ordainment program. Animism is a non-religious, earth-honoring spiritual practice that emphasizes the sacred connection between the seen and unseen natural world, humans, and non-human peoples. When not immersed in professional endeavors, Jen enjoys dancing, riding her Sportster, traveling, and time spent with friends and family.
